About Me
This blog is about me, my adventures, trials, tribulations, and whatever else I deem fit. My name is Ryan. I was born in a suburb of Sacramento, CA in the mid-80s and have lived most of my life there. I come from a large family with four older brothers and one younger sister I affectionately call Satan. I attended University of California, Santa Cruz and graduated with a degree in Philosophy. After which I moved back home worked as a Network Engineer for a year and recouped from my college years: financially, mentally, socially, and helped me find purpose. Creation of this blog is at the beginning of a new adventure in my life, recently I am taking a leave of absence from my career as an engineer and will be living, working, and exploring abroad in Korea.
I have been told that I give the worst advice by some, but others say my advice is invaluable.
I can be compassionate at time, but others utterly impersonal.
I love logic, rational thinking, and being conscionable, but I tend to lead an irrational life.
I cherish the thought of being righteous and good, but also believe that there is no such thing.
People without ambition are of the most wretched sort.
I cannot abide with time being wasted.
There is no sin in celebrating and enjoying our lives no matter the circumstances.
I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.
